This is not usual for the 70 series forum but I thought I'd post here as the knowledge base is pretty terrific.

I have stock 15's with the stock hubcap for another project. I'm hoping to find stock 16's that will fit the hubcap and I seem to recall seeing a 75 series for sale on the site that had them. Does anyone know of a steel wheel in 16" that will work with the hubcaps (6 bolt hub pattern of course)

Cheers,

John

Do a search, IIRC they were offered on the split rims on some older Aussie market trucks, haven't seen much this side of the pond except for people that modified their 16" by adding the clips. I'm sure there may be a set or two floating around on a truck here and there but good luck:meh:

Now you've given me a good idea. I could drill out the clips and weld them to a 16".

It opens an opportunity for other sources and widths for steel rims. Has anyone done this and can they recommend a wheel?

People have done them with the 16" factory split rims for sure, and I think that one or two had tried it with the Stockton model 20 or 22 wheels, hard to tell with Stockton since they went under and are in a management change:meh:

Stockton's site is back up. I was looking at them about 2 months ago and they had ceased operations. I'm going to call and see if they're taking orders.

I don't think they went under, the owner died. Same thing maybe

Be cool to get specs on the 20 to see if it would fit the hubcap. I'll report back on my conversation with them.

Newb q - Stocktons?

Did you get anywhere with Stockton? Like the idea of a 16" wheel sporting caps.

They did close when the original owner died, plus lots of customer service issues with the old management. I haven't seen anyone who has posted up with the dealings of the new owners/management but if they have fixed their problems, they are the best option for a "custom" oem style wheel bulit to your specifications:meh:

Their site is back up, the link that gofast posted up is dead.

Stockton Steelies

Not 16's, but I had Stockton widen my OEM 15x5.5 to 15x8 with the correct backspacing. I really enjoy the way the look and ride.

Good luck.
