Yeah. It's actually a 5" tjm coil, but it looks like I'm sitting at about 6" since my 80 is so light. Ill have to measure again with my doors off, I'd imagine I probably gain another 1/2-1"

Thanks for the info , it's good to know because after mesureing more on my truck I'm thinking ill need lift coils ,

Would you say the tjm coil is stiff or just right with your lighter rig ? I was looking at your pix that's a sweet rig you got

Thank you. its getting there.... I'd say the TJM rides pretty well for a 5" lift coil even with my crappy shocks. obviously as you go higher the ride gets stiffer. Ive had 3",4",5",and 6" coils under the rig, and they got progressive more harsh as i went up. The quality and finish of the TJM coils APPEARS to be better than the Ironman coils. I'd say TJM is probably a safe bet.

Thank you sir , after doing some more measuring I'm thinking a 3-4" coil is what ill be needing but I need to do some more math and a lot more measuring but thanks to you guys I am on the right path now

If anyone's interested in my truck build search my user name on expo , I don't want to get flamed posting a chevy build on a yota site ;)

Again thank you guys for all the info and help

I guess it's only fair

I was really cheesed off when I first read this thread. I mean the nerve of coming over to a yota site and flaunting the hacked of parts of a LC you harvested for a damn Chevy:mad:
I guess this is what we get from so many 40 owners putting in SBC motors:flipoff2:

:p

Haha yeah I'm a chevy guy at heart but have always been a fan of Toyota 4x4s and mini trucks , I would love to own a 40 to restore , but for now ill stick to stealing your guys axle and suspension parts ;)

Ok well to update this a bit looks like ill be ordering heavy lift coils soon maybe 3-4" because it looks like my Colorado is heavier than a stock fj80 with 100k miles on it because when I jacked the axle up to take the weight of the truck off the stands I bottomed out on the bump stop at the same time it was picking the truck up

All can be changed some because I'm using ballistic fab adjustable coil buckets that I widened and shock towers
