Stock 2015 LC wheel upgrade

It would be an upgrade if you want 17" wheels on your rig. That seems to be a good buy on those wheels with the tires. Can't speak to the rubbing.

That's a decent price if the tries are as good as they say. But you'll have to swap out the TPMS sensors, you should have them flip the white letters in at the same time.

That's the exact same setup I have on my '15, no issues. You should also upgrade your spare, I just set mine up today. I posted an ad in the classifieds for the guy I bought my spare rim from, I think he has one left.

Oh yeah, you need the special lug nuts kit.

Don't forget to ask for the lug nuts - not the same as for the stock wheels - and not cheap to get RW OEM lug nuts (or McGard, the OEM source).

BTW, that is the size Toyota recommends with the wheels. There's a post on here somewhere with the Toyota install instructions that comes with a wheel when bought new.

Here's the Toyota poop sheet on those wheels and the recommended LT285/70R17 BFG tires: https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/installation/40362D86F9D917D98825767800785BB2_Tundra_Sequoia_Land Cruiser TRD Alloy Wheel PTR45-34070-34120 IssF.pdf

HTH

Edit: The Recommended Cold Tire Inflation Pressure for the LT285/70R17 tires is 40psi F/R, NOT the 46psi stated in the poop sheet.

Thanks all. I finally got in touch with the craigslist person who posted. I had sent three emails and no reply. This morning, I noticed that the same person seemed to have listed eight different tire sets on the same day, and that the posts were listed as posted by a "dealer. Fortunately, some of the tire craigslist postings actually had a phone number and some of them had a name. With some detective work, I was able to call the dealership who did get me in touch with the individual. Apparently, this car dealership just started to sell wheels/tires. Will see how this works out.

Thanks all. I picked them up today for $1200. It looks like they came new on a 2012 Toyota Tundra, and they were promptly removed and then stored for six years.

Everything looks fairly close to as new as I could imagine.

Here are also the tires next to the ones they will replace. I am thinking of only putting the wheels on when I offroad or for winter, and then keep the stock Duelers on for summer road riding.

I wonder if the Tundra TPMS would work with the 2015 LC? Although, I don't actually know if the TPMS is still inside?

That’s gonna look sick! Nice find and work. When you said the same person posted many different ads, I was afraid it was gonna end up with you saying it was a scam. Glad it worked out!

Would thus be an upgrade for my stock set up? I do not have suspension lift. Would the 285 rub? I have seen suggestions for 275/70/17 if I still have stock suspension

Set of 4 Toyota Tundra Rock Warrior Wheels with BFG Tires

To fit 285 you have to get rid of the front mud guards and atleast lift it an inch. (3cm spacer cheap lift).

These are general grabbers and they rubbed until I got rid of the mud guards and added a 3cm spacer.

If you keep those tires you need to face white letters “in” so they are not seen. I would run them year round because your tires are already six years old and tire rubber fails over time as well as miles so if you’re going to get the use out of them and be safe you need to use them year round
