Hey y'all - I am close to purchasing a 1958 trim base config. I live in an old house and have a relatively low garage door clearance. Clearance measures at about ~74".
From the Toyota site, the overall height for the 1958 is 76.1" - this is a problem for me.
However, I noticed that the overall height for the "Land Cruiser" trim is also 76.1", and it includes raised side rails. The overall height for the "First edition" is reported at 77.8", which includes the OE roof rack, so it would make sense to be ~1.5" taller than the raised roof rail version, but the roof rack is definitely *taller* than 1.5" from the bare roof panel.
Seems to me like the bare roof panel 1958 should not have the same overall height as the "Land Cruiser" tr im with raised side rails.
I have a favor request: I need real world max height of the bare roof panel a 1958 on stock tires. Ideally with a spirit level perpendicular off the side and laser distance measurer to the ground.
Can anyone help me out?
