It really is amazing how polishing the headlights can change the whole look of the front of a car.

Very pleased. 2nd time I've used the 3M kit, and I will use it again if needed.

Impressive. I have always wondered if any of those kits worked. And if so which ones. Good info.

Or you could support MUD vendors that do a lot for this organization, community, events, spend their personal time to help out, etc, etc, etc...

or You could return phone calls when people leave messages on YOUR answering machine that's connected to phone # posted in your add above .

Check your answering machine for a message I left two days ago concerning a seal I was in need of .

Apologize if I missed a call from you. Just went and double checked the messages and didn't see one. I will see if one of my employees failed to give it me. If so I can assure you it will get handled. Didn't mean to offend but us vendors spend a lot of time and money to do this. There are lots of people that I know that have "their guy" that hooks them up at a local dealer. Not a big deal.

Anyone else find that once you get into the clubhouse forums with folks you know that you stop paying as much attention to the tech forums?

Just curious. I know I don't bump over there very much at all anymore. Found that when I really needed an answer no one had much to say, so got tired of trying.

Clubhouses are about the only place I hang out.

Between here and there

I quit using the app, I just use the mobile theme in chrome on my S5 and I have adapted pretty well.

Never been a fan of the tech forums on Mud, just not enough good info on ay of them that I've found except (maybe), nope, none. Pirate is where the tech info is hands down. There all a bunch of **** but the info is unbeatable.

Jynx-- How'd the 4runner do pulling the trailer and squirt?

The 4Runner did fine. Ran 55-60 most of the way there, little less on the way back, but I think I had the trailer loaded a little to one side, got to work on my loading and securing skills. From here to there, there is one long upgrade that I got to 45 on just because I was being cautious. Back down it I purposefully kept it in the 40s as I didn't want it to get rambunctious. Once the brakes are wired the downgrades won't concern me, but pulling up a long grade will still be a chore. Getting to AOP would be a bit more challenging as there is Monteagle Mtn between here and there, but I might give it a whirl one day.... I also need a good set of ramps.

I am in the market for a set of 15x8, 5 on 5.5 wheels if you know of any. Got a brand new 33" KM2 that I have decided needs 3 friends so it can hang out on the sami

As I recall Erin said the 33 were not big enough.

So Roger sent me an accusatory (not really) email pointing out he had not seen me on Mud much. Well that is true. Not many reasons to get on when you aren't wheeling with your buds or building trucks. Anyway, thought I would give an update.

We are still here. We are settled into our 14th story apartment (fxxxing apartment!) and it looks like the wife has a work offer, just waiting on her background check to get done.

The traffic here is a friggin joke. The "police" or what ever they are who stand out in traffic often due more harm than good. It usually takes me about 30 minutes or so to drive the 6K to work and often over an hour to come home in the evening. The Embassy is a really nice and the employees on the campus are generally pleasant and helpful. There are just four of us in our office which allows me my own space. My boss leaves in about 12 months which opens up his job but I do not think I want it. He does a good job and is a good boss. I am lucky in that regard. No telling what I end up with when he leaves. That is the only reason I would want the job.

Anyway, I spend most of my days in meetings and driving. Very little actual work gets done. I really do not understand how ANYTHING is accomplished. I do a ton of "work" with the local law enforcement. We provide them leads (that they rarely follow) and give them training (that they rarely follow). But I will say the people are friendly and I feel like the US is more popular here than to Americans who commonly take what they have for granted.

Manila is huge and people are on top of each other here. Although the official numbers are about 10 million, there are closer to 15 million in the city and 100 million in the country. It is pretty dirty and relatively third world. Everybody texts and surfs Facebook but few use the internet or email effectively. They prefer meetings and faxes over a phone call or an email. That can be problematic in a place with bad phone lines, poor cell service and horrible traffic. Internet is pretty bad. BUT, with all the issues, we can stream video at home and on the phones and stay pretty connected. If you check the Philippines thread I started a couple years ago, I keep it updated.

It is often very hot here and it is rainy season now. The roads are often flooded but the upside is that when it rains it cools off. We don't have many complaints but we miss Georgia and the camaraderie of the club and our close friend in Atlanta. We have met a number of like thinking folks and get out exploring and drinking often. Just no 4 wheeling yet - and yeah - I am scared as Penny is the only vehicle we have and we have no good place to work on it and parts that i break will have to be mailed from Beno or Sam. (Thanks for them and USPS!!!)

Speaking of USPS. That is a great benefit for us here. Without that I am unsure what we would do. We can get most things on Amazon and 20 beers will fit in a large flat rate box and can be mailed here for $15!! Speaking of beer, we have also found a couple bars with craft beers; US and other and the craft beer scene here exists but is an embryo compared to the aged scene in the US.

So there you go. If you care to read all those words, you are now mostly updated on the first impression of our first 1/16 way through our 4 year stint here (that is unless we extend to 5 or 6 which right now does not seem like a reasonable idea - maybe the new boss will be a good one).

Hold down the fort, Chattanooga is on our short list to return to, in the meantime, have a Sierra Nevada for me!
