A while ago I posted about stalling at idle after about 30 seconds after start up. Based on the responses, I went and re-examined the carb that I rebuilt and noticed the accelerator pump was sticking. I fixed that and some vacuum hoses that were routed incorrectly. The idle at startup issue is now resolved, but, after I drive it, put it in neutral, and take my foot off the accelerator, it stalls. If I have it in neutral while my foot is slightly on the accelerator, it doesn’t stall. I don’t know if it’s still a carb issue, a vacuum issue, or something else (e.g. fuel pump, solenoid, or vapor lock). I’ve read a lot of threads about stalling issues, and think I’ve narrowed it down to these issues. Thanks for any help!

P.S. for what it’s worth, I cleaned the EGR valve very well.

If you haven’t already, you could make the ground side of the idle circuit solenoid a permanent ground instead of the emission ECU maybe “mishandling” that assignment. Just part of the process of elimination.

What is your warm idle RPM now?
How about just turning in the idle speed screw, maybe advancing the timing a hair, or both?
