Have an issue with my stereo rear speakers making a cracking/popping noise, third rows dont work at all. Anyone have this issue? Dont really want to replace the orginal radio deck.

My 97 did the same thing before going out completely. I'm guessing mine is a speaker wire that has shorted out or is rubbing on metal causing the noise. Got bad enough it blew the fuse under the hood. I found the previous owners stuck a larger amp fuse in the radio spot. With the correct fuse it blows immediately. I stopped using the radio n got a JBL speaker that sounds better then my old crappy speakers. Cd and tape deck don't work on mine so no big loss. I have all my music on my phone so pretty easy to jump to a blue tooth speaker.

Someday when I am ready to replace all the speaker wire and stereo I will perhaps fix it. I think my short started in my front drivers side door speaker.

When I opened up the back and checked out my rear speaker it is completely shot. Amazing it worked as long as it did.

Good luck🤙🍻

Yep, sounds like a bare wire rubbing. Pull the speakers out one at a time and check the wiring.

Thanks. I figured its a loose connection. When I bump the dash or open close ash tray it pops so I think I’ve narrowed it down to a connection right behind the radio deck. However not sure it’s worth taking the deck out and checking versus grabbing a blue tooth speaker like you mentioned

You need to clean the dust off the needle on the turn table.

I'm dealing with a similar issue right now. I need to know which fuse under the dash is the one for the stereo. My fuse box cover is missing so I don't have the diagram. Maybe someone can just post a picture of the fuse diagram for under the dash?

I fixed my poor audio quality by pulling the radio and replacing with power monitor panel in the double din.
Sounds great now. 👍

There's actually a diagram of it in the FSM.

If I was close to my truck I would take a pic for you, but I don't have pants on and I'm not going out there.
