On the 2010 LX a recent development has cropped up and I wanted to see if anyone else has seen something similar - the stereo starts cycling through the various music source inputs while playing. To give an example, I was streaming music from my phone through Bluetooth, and all of a sudden, it changed to satellite. On another occasion, I was listening to an FM station and it went to AM. On a third occasion, it selected from Bluetooth to SAT to FM in a 30 second or so time frame.

Weird. I am taking it in to the dealer today and want to bring it up but I have no way of proving it, as it happens intermittently.

Has this happened to you?

Thanks much!

Jonathan

I spoke with the service rep. yesterday regarding this issue and he spoke with the master tech. on duty. It seems that this issue has been raised several times, but it is not limited to the LX. From what he stated, several models have been brought in with this problem, but since it is a very intermittent problem, they cannot troubleshoot it.

This truck by far has been the buggiest vehicle I have owned to date, with the exception to my wife's 1986 Chevy Cavilear which was a total POS. I like the LX much better!

If it's possible to have the dealera reset the system it's worth a shot, other than that if it's a physical problem they might need to inspect the connectors/wiring for a short. By any chance if your "mode" button is on your steering wheel check if it's sticky or if anything ever spilt onto the button. If it pushes in and out smoothly see if they can inspect behind it.
I had the mode button for the climate get stuck once and it kept circulating continously between high/footwell/demister.

Thanks Desert Nomad! I had thought that an intermittent short in the wiring to this button might be the cause, but I had not inspected it to see if anything would physically keep it depressed. I hardly ever use the button, but I will check the button operation when I get back into the truck later this afternoon!
Thanks again,

Jonathan

I've seen the entire audio/nav unit go a little crazy or out completely. I reset the system by disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes. System reboots with everything ok. Give it a shot if you don't see anything obviously wrong with the mode button.

I'll give that a try Buddy, if I cannot find anything.
