LT and I made it home yesterday about 4PM. We pulled the 80 off and dropped the trailer, tossed most of the gear in the shop and each headed to home.
This AM I pushed the 10lbs of mail out of the way and logged on to check in that we made it home in one piece. Holy smoke guys! Wow is all I can say, and a bit embarrassed at the same time. Toyota owners are one powerful crew and I am constantly reminded why. On Sunday night we rolled into Albuquerque NM around 8 PM. We unhitched the trailer and put out gear in the hotel room before gabbing some dinner. Either during that point or why we were gone (most likely why we were gone) someone snagged my writing note book. The book had notes I had taken on the trip, people to call back, requests, new contacts from the event, product/promotional ideas etc. Unfortunately it also had my business check book, a personal credit report and hidden in the back $1800 in cash. Don’t normally carry cash like that but just in case we run into some small town where the tow truck driver charges us $$$$ for a tow, 4 bald tires, and he is the local sheriff as well.
You guys raised $1800 from the cruiser community for us in three days! I still don’t know what to say, thank you.
We truly appreciate everyone in this community. I especially appreciate everyone’s donation as I know the cruiser funds are always stretched thin and often allocated to the next project or part.
LT and I had a great time with everyone at the event and enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones. The Kruse family and Shane run an amazing off road ranch. HUGE thank you to the event committee for all the non stop hard work putting on such a flawless event!
