Seen anybody do a steering wheel spacer for the 200? I feel like another inch of two of telescoping would be great. Not worried about how far it retracts.

I could be wrong on this, not an SRS expert. But from previous discussions here it sounds like the airbag module takes into account seat position and steering wheel position to calculate the exact timing of airbag deployment. The effectiveness is in miliseconds. The bag is already in deflation mode by the time you hit it, so I don't believe it's a stretch to say that a 2" spacer could make a difference. It's a highly engineered product with literal life/death consequences if done wrong so I personally wouldn't ever consider messing with it. But, as they say, YMMV.That’s a good concern, but I can’t imagine the change I’m looking for is outside of normal people size variation. I’m 6’2” and slim enough. Many smaller folks would be right up closer to the wheel. The seat slides a lot more than the telescoping wheel.
True that I wouldn’t want to mess with airbag deployment, but some purpose built quality spacer at the column itself below the bag I’d consider. No aftermarket wheels or quick connects or such.
I have a couple friends who all of a sudden have T-Rex arms when the restaurant check comesI’m a T-Rex and could use it closer as well, but would not consider messing with airbag deployment distances and timing.
It’s not really a big deal, but I figured it might also be a simple mod. I’ve got my seat optimal as I can for now, legs are a little cramped for the wheel position- get tired of pushing on the center console with side of my knee.Sure i'm stating the obvious here, but why not just move your seatback two inches closer? Seems a lot easier.
