Another thread about steering wheel leather...

Is anyone making a replacement skin? Like a wheelskin but instead of installing it over the bad leather, remove it and restitch yourself... I can't imagine its that difficult to remove the factory leather is it?

Those wheelskin deals look awful...I'll take my nasty leather over one of those any day. The only thing I like cheesy are my burgers.

I also used craft customs. They did great work and I am really happy with the steering wheel, but this was a professional install with your wheel being mailed in to them, so that might not meet your needs. When I did mine, one very cool mud member let me borrow his spare steering wheel so that my truck did not go out of service.

I wish there was an easier way! I wonder if that "steering wheel share" thread is still going....

Im surprised that no pick a parts that have cruisers, still have the steering wheels.

What color is your steering wheel? I may part with a tan brand new Genuine Toyota steering wheel I have in my part collection. ;)

@ranma21 has a tan wheel in stock? That could one day be the holy grail of Toyota parts :)

I let @lrowe_csp borrow my wheel and got it back in a timely manner. I would be willing to share my wheel with you also granted you take care of shipping both ways.

Hey Duc yeah have a tan wheel but it is for 2003+ model, I just dig it out and look at it. Thought it was for 98-02 model. Bought it for my possible future truck!:D

I did the wheelsman. My wife bought me the wrong one (black and oak euro) but it was an xmas gift so I put it on. I am not sure why anyone would object to the wheelsman look, its not much different than stock (mostly thicker and the stitching is more noticeable, but in a customy way) .

I sourced a clean used gray OEM steering wheel from Japan that should arrive in 2 more weeks but I probably won't use it... I'd rather put money towards new shocks. If anyone wants it PM me for pics/price.

Thank you sir! that would be much appreciated. I will shoot you a PM in the near future (releather is going on the backburner for a bit unfortunately), But when the time comes i'd be glad to cover shipping both ways AND make sure you get a sixer of your favorite beverage..

It looks like my rack needs to be replaced, along with my TRE's, and my rear upper and lower control arms... so I am going to get all that done and install my lift...hopefully before it gets into the 110 degree bit of the summer!

I just can't stand how the cover terminates where the wheel is supported (the 4 locations around the airbag).

I went from using cheap assed stretch covers to the wheel skin (f-ing autocorrect) so I may have artificially lowered standards.
