hi all, recently picked up a new to me 78 fj. the steering has some significant slop. i have determined the slop is in the center arm assy. is there any adjustment on that assy? i watched a few videos on replacing parts and looks like its not a bearing on the bottom but some kind of bushing??? if there is slop in that assy is it best to replace everything or just the bearing/bushing where the slop is, after watching the video it seems like quite a complicated set up inside that assy with a big spring and retainer clips and such?? why is that so complicated and not just a shaft with a bearing on both sides. thanx for any steering tips.
