Hello,

I sideswiped a tree at a slow speed (~10mph) the other day in my 97 LandCruiser. I guess my front wheel hit it too becauase the alignment was off afterwards. I had an alignment done but something is still wrong. The car drives straight with the wheel centered but I only have 1.5 turns to the left until lock while to the right there are 2.25 turns until lock. So left turns are wide. Can anybody guess what the problem might be? Do you think I bent part of the steering linkage? It drives just as smoothly as before. Thanks for the help.

In the future I'd suggest posting tech questions regarding a 97 Cruiser in da cruiser section! How about having a friend look under the front end while you crank the wheel to the left. I'm surprised that the alignment shop didn't find this problem.
