I've used the search, used google, used it all without finding answers.

What steel wheel options do I have? I am in the early process of building my 2005 Cruiser and I am having trouble finding the right wheels for it. I don't want to run the factory wheels on it so I am looking for an alternative. I am not a fan of most aftermarket wheels so I am trying to find some simple steel wheels. Something like these. I have had an impossible time finding any in any size with a 5x150 bolt pattern.

Anyone know if anything like this even exists? Thanks guys!

This thread pretty much explains all your options:

16 inch steel wheel.....

I appreciate your response. Isn't quite what I am looking for... but if the are all my options then maybe I am looking for something this doesn't exist... haha.

In that thread, someone uses that silver turbo diesel as an example. Thats exactly what I want. I did some research and his are 17 in with 0 offset. I would be fine with running them with flares if needed like he is. Maybe there are available down in Australia and not here in the states?

Can't help you with the steel, but I agree steel wheels look great. But they are so heavy. And hard to find! But maybe I can get you to reconsider the stock wheels? In my opinion the 16 inch wheels are the bees knees, very light, even compared to aftermarket, and the right size for mixed on/off road use. I wouldn't want the newer 18 inch wheels. If you object to their shiny polished look, you can have them powder coated any color you want, or do what I did, and plastidip them for $30. Leave caps off for a more industrial look. My plastidip has held up flawlessly to 5 months, automatic carwashes, and 6 3-day camping/wheeling trips in rough terrain.

I was the one that mentioned it lol. I'm pretty sure you can just find a set of pro-comp steel wheels that will fit that criteria.

Haha. Didn't even notice. I can't find any that fit that criteria for the life of me. If you do, I'll buy you a six pack.. hahah

It seems like Tundra steel wheels would be the simplest option.

Steel wheels?

Shocked procomp doesn't make a steel wheel in a 5x150 flavor. The wheels the silver cruiser had are sold in AUS only. You could always find a dirt cheap pair of steel wheels and have a wheel shop weld 5x150 centers in there.

Yea, I have been shocked with how difficult this search has been. I appreciate your help.

You have two choices: stupid-heavy, or stupid-expensive. At least that was the conclusion I came to when looking several years ago. OEM non-US LC for stupid-expensive, and OEM Tundra for crazy-heavy.

I've ended up with 16" OEM alloys, even on my 2004.

Keep us posted on what you find.

Did you ever come up with anything? I need to get rid of my TRD Rock Warriors and get something I can abuse and then touch up with some spray paint.
