Squealing belt then after I got home it broke

I bought the whole assembly but only changed the pulley, I changed the tensioner when I done the timing belt later on. I might be wrong but something in my Memory is telling me that it was Left Hand Thread, I am not 100%, but just keep it in mind.

That's my plan too. I've got the service manual out (checking torque specs) I'll see what it says

Yep, left hand thread. Too bad it took me 5 minutes to remember that during assembly :bang:

That was it? That's all there is to it? I have more time posting here about doing the job than I do actually doing the job INCLUDING changing the bearing (piece of cake). I'll probably spend more time on getting my tools out and putting then up. I like these kinds of jobs

Look what the PO left me in the rear passenger side storage

Here's the Serpentine Belt routing diagram

I'd just like to close by saying that there was a time (about 5 minutes ago) when I thought that the person or persons that invented the serpentine belt should die a slow death by 1,000 cuts :cautious: I've since moderated my thinking a little and I would be fine if their gonads were removed to prevent offspring...

My LC is back on the road. I need to take pics of the bearing I replaced and what I replaced it with. I'll post those shortly

@2001LC your ideas were spot on. I appreciate your insight and look forward to reading more of your posts.

Tensioner pulley bearings side by side (new on the left, old on the right). Looking at the photo the ID looks different but they both mic'd 0.669" You can't see it in the pic but the inside of the old bearing is blue all the way around. It got hot...

I can't say if this is the right bearing. I can say that it fit. Time will tell but I won't put many miles on the LC before I do the timing belt / water pump / tensioner / etc
