I have had a few people show some interest in making some sliders like my custom rectangular tube step sliders. I used 3/16 wall 2x6 steel tube and 2x2 support legs. These would be super easy to make and weld to the frame if you never intend to take them off. Which would be the cheapest route. Instead I had some U-bolts bent so these are bolt on. I forget how much the U-bolts cost but it works great.

Looks great. Are you considering producing them?

Thanks for all the pictures/measurements. What did you do for angles on the frame plates?

Lots of time with a grinder for the front leg angle. Use two jack stands to hold up next to rocker panel then cut and grind.
The gussets for the frame mount is 3/16 plate.

Very nice work! I always enjoy seeing home grown fab work. How about a few pics of them mounted up on your rig?

Thank you!

Have you had any issues with the bolts catching on anything since they hang below the sliders?

cj10, yes the bolts are lower than the rail but i have not had any issues. There is a chance of damaging the threads on the bolts and even when i was wheeling my 100 series more than i do now i never damaged one. Check out some of the measuring photos closely and you will see some scrapes on the flange below the bolt holes. You can tell i have set it on some rock before. There is no way to damage the top bolt though so worst case you just have to cut off the bottom nut in the event of damage. The way around that is to weld them to the frame.
