Hello, I have a 1992 FJ78 wagon, and it rides like a lumber wagon. It still have factory coil springs and I put Monroe Adventure shocks on it. The new shocks seem very stiff. Been thinking of putting a 2-4in lift on the truck, but haven't decided yet. This 1992 Prado LC has a 2.4L turbo diesel in it.
I'm am not sure if this little diesel has enough get up and go to warrant lift and tires. It has 3:43 gears in it with 31 in. tires, and it really struggles to get up the mountain roads in New Zealand. The newer Prado's have the 3.0L in them which has more grunt. Anyone have any experience with these trucks to help. I would like to flick it and buy a VX LC but don't have the funds. Any help would be great. Thanks guys.
