In my quest for to much infomation about suspensions I have not been able to find what I want to know and have the following questions.

What is the stock spring rates for Fj40 front and rear comapared to weight?
How does this compare to the spring rates for OME/Dakar springs- Light Medium and heavy?

Perhaps a table?

Stock- Weight Front - 2195# Weight Rear - 2665# Spring Rate Front -? Spring Rate rear-?

Light- Added weight
over stock weight

Medium-Weight over stock

Heavy- weight over stock

Hi All:

I have no table or chart to share, but here is my experience/memory of load capacity of Old Man Emu 40 Series leaf springs.

Light load front springs: "B" Series engine, no winch or bull bar.

Medium load front springs: "B" Series engine, bull bar and winch. "F" and "H" Series engine, winch or bull bar.

Heavy load front springs: "B" Series engine with bull bar, winch, dual batteries, etc.; "F" and "H" Series engine with bull bar, winch, dual batteries, etc.

Light load rear springs: no top or soft top, no weight most of the time.

Medium load rear springs: hard top; no top/soft top with consistent load of
~ 100 KGs (220 lbs.)

Heavy load rear springs: Hard top with consistent load of ~ 100 KGs; no top/soft top with consistent load of ~ 200 KGs (440 lbs.)

I have vague memories of a "extra heavy duty " rear spring (OME1311 ? )
