At first Ross and John were measuring the verticle height of the tire and the vehicle's wheelbase to calulate the RTI score, knowing the ramp angle was 20 degrees. But later they were using the distance traveled up the ramp.

I have the notes they kept, and the first scores (using the verticle ht.) look accurate according to an online RTI calulator.

Here are those scores:

Ross - SOA 62 on 36s - 827
Felix - 40 w/ shackle lift on 32s - 617
Tony - lifted 80 - 638
Ryan - brand new FJ Cruiser - 515

Thanks for putting this together! I had a great time and got to met some incredible people. Thanks to everyone for your patience dealing with all my noobish questions. There were so many examples of great LCs, it was nice to meet the owners and hear first hand the work that they put into their rigs.

I know, mine got left in the wash. Anybody remember what my poor attempt was? :crybaby:

Even after we talked about that yesterday!! I was just reading the names off that same scrap piece of paper, like a dumbass.

Dan, for some reason nobody wrote yours down. I remember them commenting that it was close to the FJC score, in the mid 500's, but that was when Ross was calculating the score based on the distance traveled up the ramp, which gave lower scores. Your flex was probably similar to mine, or a little better. Which is still lower than you'd think those springs would give you.

Oh, I guess I haven't said it, yet, so THANKS to everyone that came out! I had a great time. It sucks I can't go wheeling with you all this weekend, but I hope to make it out, again, sometime soon.

Bob, let me know if you schedule that pre-GSMTR run to Madison.

Glad to hear ya'll had fun at the swap meet. Yeah shame on me I couldn't be there. I had serious allergy attack and simply could not get off the bed until 12:00PM on Saturday. For some reason this year it has started little early for me. So I'm on heavy duty drugs, hope fully I get better by the weekend and the weather gets better as well.

Our paths cross again! My girlfriend and I spoke to your wife after Natalie pointed out that your blue 60 was the same one from the Christmas tree farm! i wanted to say hi but it seemed like everytime I made my way your direction, My ADD would kick in and I would find myself looking at a pile of parts! You should definately post some pics of your truck in the regestry at the top of the clcc forum.

Felix
- and everyone else that organized this event.. thanks thanks and more thanks It was really cool. Also, thanks for the sunscreen felix... you were instrumental in the future of my paleness and dermatological health! Damn, it was a sunny day and perfect for a swap meet.

If doug (with the camo 40) is on here, it was cool meeting you as well. Hope to see you at the next meeting. Let me know if you have any questions ever need help with the new truck.

fjman. sorry we couldnt meet up there and talk. my wife told me that you guys came up and talked a few mins at the SM but everytime i came back over you two had drifted off. we should try to meet up somewhere.
i would love to get some pics up, but alas, we dont have a digital camera yet (yet another toy)....

we are going to try to make one of the CLCC meetings in the next few months a give it a try.

Great to see everyone. The wife thought it was great too! Thanks to Felix especially.

thanks to everyone that's expressed their gratitude to me. The truth is that I had a lot of help from many other people. Tony did a great job with taking care of the details with the school, again. John Embry took the trouble to find a trailer and haul that ramp up from F-burg. Scott and Rob were a big help with the free signage (which we'll keep for next time). Sebastien got some sponsors and posted ads. Ross helped run the ramp all day. Julie and Brian from OCC and NoVA made a lot of arrangements, etc, etc, etc.

You get my point. I made a few phone calls, posted some ads, and kept bugging people with questions. No biggie.

I went to talk to the various heads on campus and they said everything went smooth and we are welcome again when ever we want to do another one.

Does anyone have any other pics?
