This is something i've been trying to do forever. Ever since i saw the Australian can with the tap on it (that manafre seems to NEVER get in). So i did it myself. The hardest part was tracking down a tap with a flange on it without needed a nut on the inside! This was really hard to find. A buddy of mine actually ended up finding one at RV shop online ( i searched all of the local RV shops TRUST ME!)

Anyways here's how it came out... now we can wash our hands and do whatever we need with the water outback on the bumper.

I know it's not a crazy 5 banana job, but figured i'd share anyways.

Nice Dave!

Nice job Dave, somethimes the simple mods can be the most gratifying.

That is nice! Does it glug or do you open the top to prevent that?

If you crack the top, no glug. ;)

It doesnt glug... but comes out slow and steady. You open the lid on the can and it flows really fast. The pressure in the can is high. They'll blow your hat off when you release them in the mountains :D

I forgot about the pressure difference, that would be cool. You could pressure wash your rig in camp! :hillbilly:

OK so a little more technical please. The flange looks like it has holes for two screws. I doubt that you used them but did you use some kind of adhesive on the back of the flange or at the hole to ensure a water tight seal. It couldn't have been as easy of a mod as drill hole and pop this thing in.

I did use the two screw holes. I ran sheet metal screws into the tank. I used silicone sealant to seal the entire piece. Didn't leak one drop of 4 days/644 miles out camping. Thing worked great. Greatest little mod ive ever made.
