How hard is it to find diesel 100s/80s there?I am back in Dubai from the holidays in Northern Virginia. Been taking it slow as I have lost my garage work space. Last evening I went up to Sharjah looking for some 100 parts and I saw this:

Had about 100K km, which is a lot--got used during covid in Japan a lot I was told. 105 gas, not sure if it was manual or auto. Asking 50K AED or about 15K US. RHD of course. This could go to Canada but not the US, given the year.
And next to it was:

At first I did not really look at it; thinking it was someone's done-up jeep--the vertical bars in the front registered as 'jeep' as I walked past to look at the 105. Then I saw this is actually one of the Mitsubishi military jeeps that you hardly ever see. Straight from Japan. I was looking at it, and the owner walked over and chatted with me about it. He then commented that his brother had the Toyota version of this over in the other yard. I asked it was a Megacruiser. He was not sure of that; only that it was the Toyota version of this....
Ones you can actually buy and drive on the road are pretty rare. Diesels were not popular here in the 90s and early 2000's. They show up every once in a while. My sense is that they were much more common in Europe. I happen to really like diesels so I have three of them here at the moment, but I am putting one of them up on Emirates Auction --the RHD to LHD 80 series conversion that I have grown weary of.How hard is it to find diesel 100s/80s there?

I was implying adding the red 100 to your collectionThe goal is May or June
It followed you back home so you must have treated it well...interesting to see how this ends up in a few years...Spotted my previous truck at work today and parked next to it. I traded it for the '20 tundra in November. Turns out one of the guys in my office just bought it, and it was in another state at the time. Incredible coincidence to see it again, but he was looking for a 6MT cement TRDOR, and they can't be too common on the resale market.
Size difference between the 2.5 Gen tundra and tacoma is very apparent.
