Ah, the old cheaper trick, that's what I fell for too, it was on sale at NAPA that day, so I bought the Green CRC Non-Chlorinated, and bam instant paint stripper. Never again, always get the other stuff, who cares if you grow a third eye or something, can't have paint damage. I'm sure our time with good brake clean is limited, like most good old chemicals.

The Red CRC brand brake cleaner also removes paint easily! It also leaves spots in your plastic if it splatters on it! It softens most plastics. You just need to be VERY conscious about where you're spraying it. Also ALWAYS wear safety glasses when using it.
