anybody got a broken or junky old speedometer (72 fj40) that they want to part with? the needle (orange part) on mine is broken off and my speedometer has never worked since i got the vehicle, so i tore apart the cluster and cleaned and fixed everything - but i need the needle.

anybody?

How about superglue and a toothpick:D

It would work

already thought of that. as well as the second hand from a clock-making kit. just wondering if anybody had the real deal.

try cruiserland.com

If your seriously considering using a pointer not designed to be there, I wouldn't reccomend it. The speedo spring and magnets are delicately calibrated to the correct parts.

i wouldnt say 'seriously' considered - more of a passing thought (although that clock-hand idea probably got a good 5 minutes of consideration).

i am just gonna track down the real deal and not have to worry about it. hopefully somebody on here has an old junky instrument cluster laying in their pile of cruiser parts.
