Pass on the wake board speakers that mount on the roll bar behind your head. I did that for a few months and that was all i could take. I would get a headache after awhile. This is my new setup and i'm quite happy with the results. Great sound and they are out of the way.

Wakeboard speakers is what I plan on putting in mine. The difference is, I'm building a full roll cage. The 2 rear corners will have tubes welded at a 45° angle that I will mount the speakers to. That way they're not blasting in my ear. When I'm cruising with the top off and it starts to rain...so what, they're weather proof. Another idea I had was to build a center console between the bucket seats, you know, arm rest, drink holder, etc, but in the back of it, facing rearward, would be a 10" subwoofer. I don't want to rattle peoples windows when I cruise through town I just like a little "thump". I also planned on putting 1" tweeters in the dash. I have alot of work to do before I start worrying about the sound system. These are just some ideas I had.

I went to Radio Shack and got some little 4" cubes that mount in a u-shaped holder. I put them on the upper roll bar in the front corners. sound quality isn't up to Bose standards, but the cruiser, especially with the top off, isn't up to limo grade quiet either!

You should be able to find some that clip directly onto the roll bar. My friend has ones like that on his boat.

I made boxes out of MDF and covered with PlastiDip sprayed from rattle can. They have withstood the past few storms with no issues. Sound quality is "period correct". :D
