You may have already said this, have you tried to heat it up and did you fix the leak?
What was the weather like where it was sitting, was it cold? You may have already said these things.......just rushing through real quick. Was it was drained completly before winter? When you set it up at home did water come out? I think you may had some water in there, after all that is the lowest point in the system. I figure a few minutes worth of work on the joint and you may find the heater may be find?
Sorry, should read up but was in a hurry. about the only way your going to find out is fix the coupling(if I looked at the picture correctly?) I mean if the heater is toast the worst that will happen is it will not heat up or pump then you will have to drain it again. I think you said its a 220 unit so you will know pretty quick if its heating up unlike my last 110 unit which took up to 12 hours to reach 98 degrees.
