Hi everyone, this if my first ever post and unfortunately not the one I thought I would be writing. Long story short is that I purchased an blue 1987 FJ60 not just under a month ago on the advice of a friend that was a very capable if not expert Cruiser mechanic. I was very excited to get to work start on my first Cruiser with his guidance when he sadly passed away unexpectedly not a week and a half after it was brought home. After considering what to do I have just decided to sell it and move on since I just don't see myself enjoying and learning the process without him and his expertise around.
Point is that I'd still like to see this truck get a good home, but I don't really know where to start since It had never even occurred to me that I would be turning right back around and selling it. Maybe you guys can help me out with some advice or somebody out there just wants it straight out at a fair price. You should know at this time i'm still waiting on the title from the DMV, the AC is seized, the power steering pump need to be rebuilt, there was some light body work and there is some rust. The rust is mostly around the rain rail and the sections next to the forward doors needs to be addressed. Also, it has about 225,000 miles on it. Other than that it runs great and I get a lot of compliments on it's condition.
I'd even be willing to drive it to as far as Portland for a serious buyer if they can work with my schedule. Let me know if you have any questions and I will do my bests to answer them. When I have time tomorrow I will add some photo's. Thanks.
