Drove the 80 today to get it filled with gear oil and I've noticed when slowing down theres like a winding down noise. Like a whirring noise, when a fan is slowly stopping spinning...It's hard to explain (for me) but I'm guessing it could be wind or somethign under the car thats going through the seal? I don't know. Anyone expirence any winding down whirring noises when seal went whiel driving?

seal makes no noises, but will start to drool gear lube from the pinion. Replace immediately, since driving with it drooling means the seal is shot and it's likely starting to groove the pinion flange sealin surface.

I'd guess the noise is from the t-case??

I just got it filled with gear oil. Mechanic is out of town and I can't get the bolts off the drive shaft. If I put it in neutral there is no noise. What could it be in the T-Case?
