Also be sure your shift boots are intact and sealed up. Mine are not and a ton of noise comes up through those TINY holes. (Same for any actual holes in the floor or firewall.

Sound Deadener install w/pics in a Diesel - Wow!!

I did the same install on my own truck, and found the 1 inch to be a little to thick. If I had to do it over again, I would do 1/2 inch or less.

@mmw68 I'm looking for 1/2 sound mats on your site, I only see 2in (50mil) or thicker.

mil does not equal millimeter...50 mils is about 3/16" or so.
