I have a very worn rear cargo carpet that is ready for the dump and am looking to replace all of my carpets. Has anyone purchased the molded kit from SOR? I used one of their kits in my 62 Series and I liked it. Is the 80 Series carpet loop or cut loop?

The price looks pretty good compared to OEM. I'm curious as well.

i could use new carpet, whats the ome price? this price?

The carpets for the front, middle and rear cargo area are $409.00.
Matching molded wheel arches are $82.00.
Matching piece for the tailgate is $45.00.

I am not sure of what Dan gets for a set of factory carpets.

My concern is if the carpet is a loop design it will not look right where the factory carpet is a cut loop.

Even better than carpet would be one of these molded PVC mats... With some nice floor mats...

The problem with the molded PVC is that I can't find it for the landcruiser. All other Toyotas but the Cruiser. Maybe somebody in OZ or South America, where they use the LC more as a work truck, knows if they are available through overseas markets. I did find some other carpets for sale in Australia. The prices are right around $150.00 US for the front and back plus shipping. But again, they appear to be loop and not the pile as is the OEM.

I think a phone call to SOR might be in order to determine if it is loop or cut loop. Hopefully they can send a sample.

I think I'll call SOR today to confirm what style of carpet it is and if the color is the OEM oak. Also, if they can mold carpet for the 80 series, I would think they could mold the PVC as well. I would think the PVC would be more popular with us that really wheel our Cruisers.

I'd be curious what style of carpet the SOR is, but also if it comes with the felt backing, or not? Thanks!

On the page it looks like you buy the felt backing separate. I recall it being $85.

I'm in the same boat, grunt. I just need the rear section, since my front section cleaned up real well with a power washer and a lot of carpet cleaner. The back was full of holes from the where the PO tipped over a battery. You may want to check some junk yards, even if all they have is filthy, you can work miracles with soap and high pressure:grinpimp:

Looping back on this thread (pun intended). I"m looking for a high quality loop pile carpet, has anyone installed one from SOR? They are pretty expensive (read: 1200 bucks), but if they are super nice.... maybe. I know I could get OEM for that, but tbh, I don't think the OEM stuff is all that nice. Is there another supplier I'm missing? The motivation is that I'm putting down some second skin damplifier and MLV, so I figured i might as well go fresh carpet at that point.

I got a few samples of the carpet from Stockinteriors.com, just the regular carpet and it's not what i'm looking for. I'm going to send away for their ultra-plush and see if that's better. But really, I dig the loop/berber look and think it's more durable as well.

@dnp on here sells quality carpet for several different cruisers. I would definitely hit him up, will be who I go with when I redo mine.
