okay, not really. it never had it.
heres my new project/DD/headache.

91 22RE xtra. s***ty auto loses 3rd and R when at temp. going to swap a 5 speed, 2 or 3 inch drop and thrash the s*** out of it.

so you cant go mini-truckin without rims.
i scored these from craigs, theyre 18s with 255/45s.
had to get a 1" spacer for the fronts to fit because of the front drive center hole :rolleyes:
these came off an X-runner so i figured theyd go right on. apparently the x-runner uses sealed bearings and not a tapered set like the early stuff. so anyway.

so basically i am hunting for a 4wd front clip. it would be super ill to get a 94-95 4 runner fascia and clip.
needs a tach dash and clock. all in all pretty happy. the motor is strong but has some oil leakage going on that i need to figure out.
also i plan on putting a factory E-locker in this. we just swapped a supra LSD into my brothers truck and we arent terribly happy with it. i want 100% lockup.

thats the fender, grille, markers, bumper and valance right?
 
little update.

got the auto swapped out. thankfully my brother in law has a little 2wd we have been pilfering for a couple years. sourced everything but the new clutch from it.

pile of parts. looks like the 5 spd, flywheel, bellhousing cover plate, the stick, the pedals, the master, slave and line. the new OEM clutch goodies.

swap is pretty straight forward. i removed the auto. made a traditionally huge mess in the process.

not sure where all the oil was coming from. i know the valve cover is puking everywhere. looks like the auto was puking too. i swapped the rear main while i was in there.

i removed the AIR recurc stuff while i had access. i will be installing my old header on this motor as well as the E-fan.

i really like having the cruise on this thing. i broke it when i swapped the trans, but the fix is an easy repin.

the last shows the minor core support damage.

pretty good for a guess on the shift hole.

the column shift was being difficult, and my patience were running thin. introduce Mr. Sawzall. problem solved with the quickness.

more progress. transfer punches and carbide burrs are your friend. also brother with tin snips fixed shifter hole.

so i got a few more loose ends tied up on the mini.

got a new battery its a Deka Intimidator AGM. decided against the Optima this time as their QC has fallen off. 180$, not the best price, but it was local. has to build a battery clamp as well.

when i picked the truck up it had a shoddy batt with the wrong terminals and no tie down and constant acid drip :rolleyes:

also got some new marine terminals while i was at it

also lowered it. got some spindles for 75$ and a block for the rear. got the 4wd fenders and bumper mounted as well.

my dad and i paint matched the new fenders. if you need paint work done hit us up for a bid.

now the last updates. had to go to pick & pull for some wiring pigtails.

(sometimes i wish i could catch the last guy to work on the cars i have to work on so i could break all his fingers)

my front markers had been scabbed with the wrong light locky thing, so they wanted to fall out of the marker. i also got the stuff for the license lamps to work. gotta keep Johnny Law off at all times.

needs an alignment now and some more of this and that. hope to score that axle before too terribly long so i can get busy on the E-locker mod
