Just want to say Hello first of all! I just recently puchased a '71 FJ55 it belonged to a hunter that just destroyed the roof and floor of the little piggy so bad that it is beyond repair. he had had sereral wrecks in it and was in so bad a shap I had to srap the body. beng there arn't many of the FJ's down in this part for bodies I opped for the next best thing I had an old 1947 willys wagon body out back and desided to see if it would fit. looking and measuring I needed to remove 14" off the back. well was gonna have to cut and reweld the rear frame anyway the PO had destroyed the rear hatch anyway.. So off I went and started building and welding... after alot of looking and thinking and more looking I descover the PO had left the poor little piggy out in the last flood down by the river and everyone knows what that means..... motor locked up and rusted.... So I looked into another donor... no luck not any round here cheap... so next best thing.. anyway as heavy as a willys wagon is all that steel... needed some umph anyway so V8 power from a 305 should work.. found a donor 305v8 and av8 swap kit . left the toyota 3speed & T-case and running gears D44 4.11's switched all the break hardware pedals, master cylinder, clutch pedel sytem over to it. steering columb wat toast. so had a 97 jeep GC columb works great along with the FJ55 steering box.
I thought well my one grandad had an old FJ40 i loved and my other grandad had an old willys I loved why not have the best of both world in one....

I hope this don't make anyone mad..... i really tried to find another donor body but had no luc and wife was about to make me get rid of the little FJ55 I needed to do something with it in staed of haveing it crushed I use the fram for the build.
