Some Voodoo electrical s*** is happening with my Foglights

I don't know what is going on here and could use another opinion.

I have diode dynamics SS3 fog lights and the passenger side stopped working. I plug a new light in the DT connector, still no light. I stick my multimeter in on the DT terminals and I get 12.6V.

checked the barrel terminals and they are making contact with the male pins on the lights.

I am an EE and I have wired hundreds of offroad lights before but I have never seen this before. I am about to loose my mind lol.

Since both sides are powered by the same harness coming into the bumper from the driver's side, I'd first suspect intermittent open downstream of the driver's light? They ground through the harness, not the mount, correct? So two different lights don't light up, assuming you swapped known-good driver's side light into passenger harness to rule out internal defect in light itself? Sounds like you know and have done the basic troubleshooting. Can you wire a temporary jumper to bypass the wire that runs along the inside of the bumper? Sorry, not more help. I love my DD SS3 lights I put in my Victory bumper! Would love to run a set as ditch lights. Do you have the OEM drop in version?

Have you taken a + and - wire straight off your battery to your lights? Your answer may be there.

they are getting ground through the wiring harness. I will remake the whole wiring harness. something I failed to mention. I made a custom relay harness so I can turn the fogs on separate from the headlights and while pulling into camp at night. first power source is through the OE harness going into the NC contact of a relay. second power source is from Auxbeam switch panel wired to trigger the relay and supply power through the NO contact. both power sources produce the same issue. I will mess with it later after work. Might have to re-do the whole wiring harness!

yes the light is working fine. I am gona do some other measurements later and get to the bottom of it
