I’m searching but can’t find much on these codes p1305, p1310, p1320, p1340 showing all at once....with engine still running fine.

Anyone ever had these codes with blinking CEL but NO issues with misfires?

Thanks

Flashing CEL = Urgent problem, do not drive.

That is what doesn’t make sense and I’ve never encountered all of these four digits numbers before. The engine could not possibly run better than it currently does idling aas well as driving....with these codes.

Yes the flashing light means potential catalyst damage.. last I checked they're about 3k for a 100 series. This fault just means the computer didn't receive the feedback signal it was looking for, the coil can still fire but the pcm can shut off the injectors to avoid catalyst damage from these dtcs.
To diagnose accurately an oscilloscope is recommended as this is toyotas recommended diagnostic tool

Essentially you'll need to make sure the pcm is sending the feedback signal to the coil and that the coil can completely, in time pull that signal to ground for the pcm to say ok I've got my feedback and I can fire the coil.

Very few manufactures use this type of system and I see many toyotas with this fault while running fine. The most LIKELY cause is coils but given that many faults showed up at once you could have pcm driver issues. also one bad apple can spoil the bunch..

Perhaps just perhaps this was the problem..... as most research has suggested. Two were visibly cracked but I replaced five based on codes given. Cleared codes and they haven’t reappeared yet.

Lesson learned for me was a coil can be bad with misfire codes given.... even when engine runs perfectly.

Someone else recently posted cracked coils like this. I think all theirs were non-Denso/Toyota.

Are your cracked ones original Toyota? Denso? Aftermarket?

One was aftermarket of some kind and one was "Toyota Denso". Not sure if actually original coil or not. Another coil that code said was bad was Denso as well but no visible cracks.

I posted a couple days ago having 2 of my 8 coils being no-name which were cracked in multiple locations. The other 6 were OEM Toyota/Denso units. However I had no CELs and my only issue was a slight idle-up while in drive with my foot on the brakes at a stoplight or stop sign. I’m not 100% that it was the coil packs as I found the idle-up vacuum line half way off it’s nipple on the intake tube and the clamp on the air filter side of the intake tube was completely loose. Either way I replaced all 8 coil packs with Denso 673-1303 and fix a few other things and it’s running real smooth now.

FWIW your cracked coils are much more significant than mine.

When I bought my 100, 6 of the coils were Toyota Denso, 2 were no-name aftermarket, and 4 of the Toyota Denso were cracked like this. We found the same on @86R100RS 100 when we preventatively swapped his coils. My point is the Toyota Denso crack too; it’s not a problem exclusive to aftermarket junkers.

Agreed.

Although I wonder what the mileage was for each failed coil. I suspect some (maybe all) of the failed Toyota/Denso coils were original Toyota Denso from the factory. The failed aftermarkets probably had 1/2 or less of the mileage.

It would be an interesting study, given the vast price differences.

I replaced mine with aftermarket coils from Amazon for like $70.....with lifetime warranty. Unless the LX exhibits negative symptoms or they fail often enough that I get sick of changing them, this looks like a win for the LX cost of ownership.
