I've done some googling but can't seem to find any situation correlating to mine. I mashed the horn a bit too hard in a flash of (road) rage when some clown was making an illegal stop at a U-turn and now the horn button (the steering wheel cover) is stuck down at the upper and lower left corners. I have to stick my fingers behind the lower left corner of the cover and pull toward me to get the horn to stop and any slight touch of the cover down away from me sets off the horn and it just keeps going. Anyway to unstick the cover? For now I have disconnected the horns but that is basically sentencing myself to an accident later down the road because having a horn on Nigerian roads, no matter how careful and patient you are, is imperative.

For now, here is me raging at the car:

I briefly ran into the same issue. My clockspring had kicked the bucket, and after replacing that I didn’t encounter the issue again. Might be a decent place to start, before rummaging around for a break in wiring, etc.

EDIT: Super quick and easy to replace btw.

I'll look into it. Just to re-iterate tho that the steering wheel cover is visibly stuck and depressed at top and bottom left corners with no force being applied on those areas. Also, can punching the steering wheel make the clockspring go out?

There are a couple of stubby springs in there that pop the cover back out after being depressed, which you may have broken or they might be jammed. Remove the airbag from the steering wheel and you’ll see them.

Apologies, I skimmed. There’s a lot between the strike-interfacing (lol) surface of the steering wheel and the clockspring, so perhaps that’s slightly less likely given that information.

That being said, that steering wheel will still need to come off to troubleshoot, I would think. Worth throwing a new one in anyway while you’re in there. Cheap and fast. Mine eventually began activating the horn with the Cruise Control stalk…

A second EDIT: Intelligible answer above.

Amen. Will look into this. I literally broke into a cold sweat thinking about having to explain to my dad why I punched the clockspring to pieces through the steering wheel. Also does anyone have a link to the FSM? I get a 404 Error everytime I try to open this link to it: https://lc100e.github.io/manual/

There is an MVP and his name is @JunkCrzr89
Springs were stuck closed, just removed the steering wheel cover and pushed the tabs on the springs down and back up, easiest fix of my life.
Big Cheers guys!! :cheers::cheers::cheers:
