I just had this all built for my 1977 FJ55 but am now going to a later 2F with fuel injection so here is your chance to jump ahead 4 months in line and get your Cruiser running perfect.
This is the ideal setup for an early low compression 2F 1975-1980 according to Jim
New cap, head and wires when installed.
I have 1000 miles on the setup. I never touched a setting on the carb. Installed and it ran and cranked perfectly.
His description below:
1977 Distributor: The vac advancer is from some other toyota and has the 2 stage advance, like a later Cruiser. This gives 3 different amounts of vacuum advance, depending on how the hose(s) are arranged. The advancer has a cap on one fitting and one open fitting. I recommend only connecting a ported vac hose to the one open fitting, which gives 16° of vac advance.
Super Hybrid 75+77 carburator
To install, just connect the one ported vac fitting to the dissy, and connect the stock ICS wire, throttle linkage, fuel lines, etc.
