Hey I am new to the site and am looking for feedback on my trailer project. It is a 5 x 8 flatbed with a slide out rack system It has a Tepui Tent on top and is solar powered. The battery pack powers my Engle refer and several LED lights for the capsite and the tent itself. Also will have a 20 gal water tank with electric pump, 2-5 gal fuel tanks and propane. I specifically designed it to carry either a boatload of gear or a 4 wheeler and gear. It has massive clearance and I have taken it into the rough stuff with my 2009 Rubi. Doesn't have a mark on it and never got hung up. With even bigger tires it could have even more clearance. Trailer has 2 highlift jacks that level the camper even in the roughest areas. The jack come off by removing one pin so that they can be used on the trail. Looking for your thoughts.

I am confused (albeit quite easily!) but the title of the thread said "For Sale" and then when opened says "I want feedback." Do you want feedback on price to sell it for or do you want feedback on this build?

Feedback, I would move the fridge so it's protected from rocks that would come off your tires and fling into the condenser. I'm sure that the lights in the tent are solar powered but the tent solar powered not so much.
If it's in fact for sale Good Luck.

Trailer

I believe this is another fellow Albuquerqian...that's Alb, NM. Just based on the background (high and dry climate) As for the trailer, I love it. I cant afford a recreational trailer and a utility traler so it would certainly fit the bill for me...and I'm in Abq!

Solar Trailer

Sorry guys but I couldn't find a thread for opinions on a trailer build. I am new so expect the guys who wait to pounce on newbies to have their fun. I appreciate the good feedback on the fridge. It has a padded and screened cover on it that has kept it protected for the years that i have had it. Unfortunately the new ones are plastic and have no cover. And yes the solar powers the lights and the fridge plus is great for your DC fired compressors, water pumps, and heater fans. Thanks again for the feedback.

Solar Trailer

Good guess about Albuquerque. I actually live 20 miles north of there. I am thinking about selling the trailer but I plan to build another one also and that's why I really need people's ideas about making it better. The goal is to provide a trailer that will go anywhere and provide reliable silent power for up to a week at a time. I could go crazy here but I don't want to end up with some Australian type $25,000 rig! And for that price the trailer is good for only one thing. I am planning on an articulating hitch on the next one also plus heated water.

Solar Panel

It is a 55 watt Solar Tech. It puts out 3.31 amps at 22 volts approx. The amperage output is key on these panels as well as your sunlight hours. What size ais your battery bank?

Im guessing 22 volt is open circuit voltage ~12volt under load. Amp output on my panel is close to the same. I live in Arizona where you get more solar insolation, longer days, and more clear days then most places in the world. I'm using one group 24 battery with my 55 watt set-up.

Are you using a MPPT charge controller?
