@65swb45 What's the story behind these covers anyway? Were they an option on the '79+ ? I have been trying to get more information on them to no avail and I can only seem to find pictures of them on 79-81 models
 
I do not know the answer to that. Very little experience with the ‘80 up rigs compared to the ‘60s and ‘70s.

Yes. That’s correct. With rigs (shorty and troopy) with the fuel tank outside the body.
