Looking for a late model 40 OEM roll bar. Specifying late model because that is what the truck is and I am uneducated on differences between the years. What I'm really after is the main hoop, I don't necessarily need the complete unit, but if I gotta buy a whole unit, it is what it is.
Not sure what changed 2/78 but the seat belt anchor moved from the top to the roll bar. Not sure what changed was made 2/78-1/79
R1/79 the main loop is heavier than the main loop up to 2/78. It also has bolt that goes thru it where the side loops attach. The side loops have different welded nut to attach the three point seat belt. Thread I assume had meet safety requirements for the US market. I show another part change 8/80. If it's more than a colour change or something else I'm not sure.
Thanks for posting. Had an opportunity to buy one local for $500 and i passed. Im hoping to stumble on just the hoop, as im looking to add a rear hoop to my factory roll bar to support a full length bikini top. Not a need, just a want.
