It’s been a very very long time since I acquired this. I honestly don’t remember if it was on a domestic 81-82 that I parted out, or on an engine/powertrain that I imported from Japan in the early 90s. I know that I unbolted it, but I don’t even remember from what! D’oh. I just found it under a pile of driveshafts. It’s the only one that I’ve ever seen, so I guess it’s a little rare.
My WAG is that Toyota was less than 100% sure of the introduction of the double cardan driveshaft, hence the safety hoop. $50 plus the ride from Burbank .
