1968 FJ40 that has been extensively modified over the years. I bought it as a stalled build and proceeded to get it ready to complete (which it did) the Copperstate Overland. This is a drivable project where the new and overhauled parts exceed asking price. Clean CA title, on Non-Op so no fees due.
Upgrades
GM Performance crate 350 with about 100 miles on it
GM TH350 3 speed auto
NP203 doubler
Toyota transfer case
Painless wiring harness (needs finishing)
Electronic distributor
Edelbrock Carb with electric choke
4 wheel disc brakes
Lexus power brake booster and master
Front to rear brake proportional adjusting
Toyota Tacoma wheels
Front and rear axles from a 1974
Rebuilt rear differential and seals
4.11 rear axle
Rebuilt front end by Yota Masters in SoCal
GM tilt steering column
Saginaw power steering
Aluminum radiator
Drivelines Inc customer drive shaft
Procar seats
New Bilstein shocks on all four corners
Comes with
-triple stick set up
-metal doors
-new soft doors
Missing
-hard top etc
-originality ship has long sailed on this one, it's a beast
Work to be done / issues
-mostly finishing and details such as finishing up the Painless install, needs new tires, brakes need bleeding and brake line needs attention as there is a slow leak, engine runs great but if you fully depress the brake pedal (more than what is needed to stop) the engine cuts out, assuming this is a bad brake switch grounding out since it happens even when the brake booster vacuum is removed and plugged. Triple stick needs to be installed, it was amusing to jump out and manually switch into 4wd or use the lower range but people with more sanity or dignity will probably get tired of doing that.
Selling because I am not using it and have moved on to other projects.
$10,999 with some room.
