So who bought the sweet 60 from CO?

Good lookin truck. I still dont get all the secrecy around here but I am stoked to see that thing in person. I always thought it was a sweet rig when trapper had it.

GAME OVER! Sorry this might be a little long...

Well, well, well...what started as a little game to actually make fun of all the secrecy that goes on at ONSC...has turned into one of the best secrets going.

While certainly not our intent, it was fun while it lasted. No hard feeling I hope. :flipoff2:

The truth must come out! Trapper’s Colorado 60 is MINE (honestly)...

I have only known you guys for about 7 months, though I spend many of my free weekends and free time hanging out with you in person or online.

Like most, I'm sure, I have really enjoyed my Cruiser ownership and all the people involved in the hobby. When I bought my 62 last summer I had no idea it would make such an impact me.

So...I was on a quest to buy another one. I really wanted a 70 series and spent a lot of time talking to people and pretty much knew of every one for sale in the states and some that weren't.

Then one day Cinder (my wife) said that she wanted an FJ Cruiser…it was somewhat out of the blue but I was pretty excited to say the least.

Well to make that happen we had to sell her car and cut into my next cruiser budget. Obviously, that was a sacrifice that I was supportive of, so I started looking for a cool cruiser that would fit my new budget.

I guess I have a thing for 60’s and I found myself going back to JT’s for sale thread over and over. Hell I even offered to trade my 62 at first but then reconsidered. JT didn’t make it easy either, he kept sending me pictures of Ingrid on the trail in Colorado, being used as an expedition rig just like I wanted to do. He might have even offered to throw in some of his brew as well...

So I decided to go for it!!

My first mod will be Adam's rear bumper...thanks again man.

Here are some additional pictures of it getting loaded.

In case anyone is curious, Cinder got her FJC…an all white 2010 with a rear locker! She has even promised to take it out on the trail.

I will take a family photo of our "Cruisers" as soon as the 60 gets here next week and post them up!

Sorry I'm still a newb when it comes to pics.

That white FJC looks damn good in person also. Just needs some white wheels. :grinpimp:

The offer is still there.... actually both are, the storage and the wheels

I see some wrenching on Ingrid in my future.

As they say on the x-files....

The truth is out there....

I know Ingrid has a good home with you Brett.
I can't wait to follow her progress under your stewardship

You may have to add a leaf to those rear packs after putting that grand piano sized bumper on the back! (maybe not, it does have just a touch of stink bug)

Don't forget, gas to the floor before pulling the choke out to cold start. But you can loose the choke pretty much right after she fires up. And don't forget the Aussie locker, slow hard turns equal all gas or all clutch, no feathering...or she'll buck like a mule. You'll get used to it, and you won't do any damage if you get it wrong a couple times.

I'll miss her, but the 80 I got sure is luxurious.

For all you ONSC guys, sorry if this ruse went on a little too long, Brett and I had discussed how cool it would be to show up at the next meeting or trailride with no one the wiser as to Brett's purchase. To "drop it like it was hot" so to speak, hence the subterfuge. But shipping took too long to arrange so the gag went a bit long in the tooth and folks began to get a bit cranky, our fault entirely.

It does need some white wheels! I will try to convince her.

We are pretty lucky to say the least.

You know that I will take good care of it JT...have to keep a good thing going!

Thanks Jon...I really appreciate it man!

Should be here at the end of next week.

nice. I cant wait to see it. I want to steal some ideas off of it as far as the suspension goes.

I saw you again this morning while I was running down Sharon road by the harris Y. Do you live close to that area? I always see you around Carmel or Sharon Road. I presume your 62 now becomes the primary daily driver for ya?

Sounds great! Also, Ige wanted us to take a picture of the raffle rig and Ingrid next to each other and post it up.

Yep, on my way to work...from Ballantyne to South Park. I actually DD the 62 now and will probably split time between the two!
