That's what I am going with then. Thanks for the quick responses...

You have to order new H1 bulbs. The adapter plate is to mount the projector in the the stock 9006 hole.
Thanks. From the folks that have ordered new bulbs and not gone the XB35 route, what is the preferred color choice? I went 5000K last time and think that is too blue.

I went 5k 35w morimoto! Remember that your 55w ballast will make a 6k look more like a 4.5k!
Also, I have ordered the H7 and 9006 adapter plate, I havent used any of them in any retrofits yet hahah just an FYI!
I went with the 4300K. Does that mean my 55w DDM ballast is gonna make the 4300 look more 3000K? Don't want that
Well my 6k 55w matches my 35w 4.5k fog lamps! So its some ways down on the list! If you think 6k 55w is too blue then maybe just go 1-2k down on the kelvin rating? Do not worry, call TRS tomorrow and they will change your order! They will not ship them out today anyway!![]()
Now I don't know what to do? I want the light to be more white than blue.
I always thought your bulbs and ballasts had to be the same wattage.
gotchaaccording to DDM, there is only one type of bulb! The difference is in the ballast!
So I got a pic to help smm3 out!
Here is the 4300k color temp bulb
this is 35w, so 55w should make it look white! You are safe IMO
Are you serious.I thought 4300K would be more yellow! So I ordered 5000K. According to the chart I posted many pages earlier, 5000K is as white as it gets!

jonharis said:Anyone ever find out why the 50W ballast is not on the kit?
They burn up the projector. There has been reports of the 50W kits causing the inside to melt after a few weeks/months They run way to hot for a mini. I would run the 50W in a full size projector only.

after reading that thread, the problem seems to be with the bulbs, not the ballasts. If I get the XB35 bulbs, it should be fine.
