So I contacted TRS about a REAL group buy for projectors, lets get it going! (1 Viewer)

You guys have this one a lot easier than I do with the GTO. They had a halogen projector cast into the inner headlight bracket...I have no choice but to cut it out with a Dremel and make the FX-Rs fit. Talk about nervous... It's a good thing I procured a spare headlight to use as a martyr.

I *think* the 100 will be easy. Measure twice cut ones. Only thing I am nervous about is the projector not fitting as the low beam section is quite small. I will find out soon enough. I am going with the full 35W kit and replacing my DDM kit. I will order new bulbs and use them for high beams.

On another note, Should I paint the top half of the headlight gloss black or leave it chrome? I will do the shroud with a high gloss titanium.

Leave it chrome! And damnit, with everyone buying full kits, I want to do that now too! I hear that the morimoto h1 kit is high quality and puts out more light than the equivalent DDM kit

Yea, I am going to bite the bullet.

What the hell are we supposed to do it the bulb sticks out further than the OEM one. Have you seen how close it is to the battery already? I don't want to kill the excitement but I need to bring this up.

I know what you mean! Well, we have tons of space to work with if we are moving the bulb forward because the mini H1 projectors are 5.35" at max depth! Figure that we have about 3/4" to stick out on the projector in the rear! My uncles accord that we did a retrofit on had a tighter space between the battery and rear of the housing, but it still worked

I've seen you do crazier s***, I'm sure you'll be fine hahah glad to see you took the e46 advice:beer:

yep. I will wait to do a retro when I see how people are mounting theres. Looks extremly easy except the wiring (I am a master at dremmeling and modifying things. But I struggle to put batteries in a flashlight)

Seems like you cut a small hole in the back, throw the locking rings on and then mount your actual projector via brackets and apply shroud. Bingo... I think the 98-02 lights will require a slightly larger hole for the end of the projector and 4 holes for the mounting. Easy

Just ordered, I went with the XB35 6000k bulbs so it should look awesome! I'm putting mine in a Grand Prix GXP. Thanks for setting this up!

Ordering mine tommorow afternoon.

Please make a list of who ordered so we can keep track.

Does anyone know if you can run the 3Five 5000k bulbs with the 50w ballasts?

I'm assuming that the full kit, plus maybe some glue, should handle things for me?

I have to admit, i am REALLY nervous about this install. The straight HID install from DDM was cake...this is different!

I am told that you can! I will be ordering the glue and the adapters(9006 adapter) so I can get it seated nice and straight! I am nervous too! Even though I have an extra set of lights;)

OK, so nobody gets anything until 25 people pony up and use the code to order?

Great discount but now I need to figure out what I actually need. Don't want to be the knuckle-dragger.

Dont worry, I have a couple of people waiting to see if they can get on the list on the taco forum, so there will be 25 people!

Someone come install my junk when it gets here.

Don't worry. My order won't go in until Friday. I'm traveling tomorrow :(

Code doesn't work with PayPal checkout FYI. Have to register on the site and use CC apparently. Grrr. Annoying.

You can call them tomorrow! And they will give you the code and apply it for you:D

They will send you a paypal invoice with the 25% off:)
