I am interested in this, but I need some questions answered. I have read, but I am unsure of the following, can someone help. (I am in a RHD country and have emailled Matt and he said RHD cutoff morimotos are available so anyone from a RHD country can join this group buy)
I have a 2003 LC with the glass front, low beam and high beam above each otherr as in the photo posted by Hoser.
Do we have to cut the reflector out of the middle of the housing, or is it an unbolt (removable) style as pictured in one of the Taco links? (I am concerned about getting caught out in Australia and having to go back to stock)
What do I need exactly to do the fit. I currently have a 35w cheap HID kit (not installed) with 9006 ( low beam anyway)
Can I use this?
I guess I need
2 x morimoto min inserts (will these take my 9006 bulbs?)
2 x gattling gun shrouds (do I need these, do they just "dress the finish" up?)
Do I need the aligning rings
What else?
If I blow a lamp, can I replace with stock halogen to keep driving? Will that work or will I need to keep HID spares?

Shrouds just finish off the looks. The mini inserts allow for a perfect alignment, it does not allow it to run a 9006 bulbs. You will need to stock a second HID set unless you can open the housing whenever you want and pull out the projectors
It has not been done yet on a 100 series so we decided to get the morimoto H1 because a lot of the 9006 users use them along with the adapter plates with minimal trimming. Hope this helps

So I really need a complete kit I suppose, I'm concerned about how far the lamps will project out of the rear of the housing as well as I don't have much room with a Group 31 battery in both sides.

100 TD, this is a great kit because it was designed specifically for retrofits and makes the most difficult part of retrofitting, mounting the projector, easy. If mounted as intended, the projector will not protrude any further out the rear than your stock lamps. The hole in the reflector portion may need to be enlarged but not by a lot, if any.
The biggest concern I would have about doing this retrofit is whether or not there is enough room in the headlamp housing to fit the projector without interference on the frontal glass. I would take some measurements from where the stock bulb mounts to the front glass to get an idea.
Also, since you have the fluted glass, I'd consider sanding/polishing the inside to get a smooth/flat surface.

Mmmmmmmmm, the fluted glass may be a problem reflecting light?

Maybe not problematic but not ideal either. Besides, aesthetically, it would modernize the 100 some as most new vehicles have completely clear headlamps.
