So, does one really need a 240V MIG?

How was my post spam? We are talking TIG 100vac/220vac, wiring, 220volts, breakers? Will not put in a smiley again. Sheesh!

Not wanting my house to burn down by using an electrician?

The moderator here, I PMd when I signed up and he welcomed me to the board and was VERY polite.

We'll let's see. You have with Neverlast welder link on your sig. You post about getting a new Neverlast model xyz.

Depending on where you live, you don't need a licensed electrician to work on your house. Wiring up
a 230v is a no brainer if you do some research.

I have seen plenty of censorship by Alex on the Neverlast welders forum on weldingweb.com.

I guess I'm not very excited to see a cockroach like the rest of you guys.

WTH?

I'm learning some useful stuff here, can we keep it that way?

I have 80 series LC's in my sig, and recommend them all the time. :D

Seriously, he's in the right forum, in a welding thread he didn't start, giving advise about welders and welding that was asked for. We would have to ban Christo Slee if that was the criteria for spamming.

So, is he a union rep for electricians now too? WTF?

Lots of people have commercial sites linked in their sigs, what's the big freakin deal?

You're too much sometimes. Make sure and keep your tinfoil hat extra tight today ;p

Not that this is ON TOPIC that I am responding too, but I own 2 or them (not mentioning a brand or putting a smiley). And like them for what I paid. I have a lot of HF tools, and SK, Matco, Craftman, etc.. On the budget I have they work for me. If I had a Miller, Lincoln, Hobart, would it be OK to mention that? If so there is a lot of spamming here.

I mentioned I have free access to an electrician and I am lucky. And in Florida, Palm Beach County it is required.

You are something, insulting someone that you do not even know.

Sounds like you are trying to censor me and that's not why I live in America. We fight for freedom.

Peace.

The difference being that Christo has a red star.

I don't care if you mention Miller, Lincoln, or Hobart in you sig line. You are not a dealer for these welders.

It appears that you are not alone in living in America. Of all people, you should know plenty about censorship.

I'm with Charles on this. If your a cruiser head, your welcome on this board. If you trying to pimp welders in your sig, you should have a vendor membership or leave it off the board. It costs a lot to run this board and it takes Woody and others a lot of their time. If anyone benefits from it in any commercial venture, they should buy a red star.

Marks Off Road, Christo, Jim C, Cruiser Outfitters, Poser and many other vendors all give a lot to this board in the way of invaluable information. They have red stars...

Welcome to this board and the Cult of the Land Cruiser. Buy a star. Share your welding knowledge. Maybe get some business out of it. It's give and take.

I didn't see him whoring. I'd really appreciate it if you guys wouldn't get down on someone who might have some useful information to pass on to the rest of us. It's been reported, a mod responded, should be a done deal- apparently he hasn't done anything the mods or Woody care to have a hissy fit over.

fj40charles, you did the right thing by reporting what you thought might be spam, at least in my book. You went overboard by posting about it. There was no reason for this to go public, you could have had a private conversation with the mods about it.

I have built a lot of stuff with my Lincoln 110vac welder. Stuff for the Cruisers, off road wheelchairs, garage projects, etc. The flux core gets pretty good penetration.

I finally bought a Miller 180 (220vac) and love welding thicker metal with shielding gas. You get better welds with less impurities.

Now I have the Miller for big stuff and the lincoln for doing sheetmetal.

I like the generator idea if it is $500 to run the conduit (in S Florida we need them). I have my welder and plasma wired for the twist plugs just so I can use it on the generator. And put a twist on the wall as well.[/quot e]

Buy a Miller Bobcat for generating AND stick welding. ;)
I use a 230V 180 Millermatic autostart these days. Good rig !
My Lincoln 110 v I used for years building bird cages but quarter inch steel was out of the question.
The 180 is available in 110 as well.
