For Sale [So Cal] Speski Cargo Barrier for 80 Series

Used for a few years, and I love it, in fact I purchased one for my 100-series Cruiser and use that every time I take it camping. Sold the FJ80 so I have no need for this any longer. Asking $200 plus shipping or local pickup.

not sure if it would work but try sending a paypal invoice to him if you have an email. Maybe if you show it was shipped to his address you can have some recourse. Probably a real long shot but might be worth a try. Sorry to hear about you getting burned!

Do you have a pic of his truck by any chance? I bet some RS folks could make his life a living hell...the guy that makes them was a Rising Sun and CruiseMoab committee member.

Unfortunately I don't have a pic of his truck, all I know is that he has an 80. Maybe I will check with Rising Sun to see if anyone there knows him and can nudge him to do the right thing.

The real shame here is that we have such a great community. I have always trusted everyone I've dealt with and have invited several to my house. I hate it when people like this ruin it for everyone else.

Thanks everyone for the support. I did ding his iTrader, though he's not very active on here so he probably won't care.

At this point I'm going to take him to small claims court in CO. Even though I will probably spend the entire amount on airfare flying out there, it will be worth it to me that he won't get away with this.

I will post whether I am successful or not, just in case anyone finds themselves in this same situation.

I would be willing to chip in $5 via a Paypal donation to help facilitate this idea and I think other Mud members would as well. With any luck he won't show in court and you win by default and then start putting liens on everything he owns. Heck I think in CO you can even garnish his bank accounts too without much effort.

Sorry about your loss. I'm not sure it's worth it to pursue small claims, especially if you have to travel. I would just learn from this and move on, and make sure his name is mud on MUD.

Yea small claims for $200 is a waste of time, if you are going to fly out there, make it worth it.... You know where he lives.
