That's too kool! While a tad jealous, heck more than a tad, I'll have to rethink my thoughts on missing a bit of snow while I'm staying in a cozy beach shack on Big Pine Key this weekend :D.

closing in on two inches here in Clemson at 10PM.......... supposed to pick up 3-5!!! that sure would be nice :D

funny thing is they were saying just a slight chance of a wintry mix here about this time yesterday; I really don't think they saw this one coming

*edit 11PM update 2.25"....*

I'd say its about 30 here in Seneca/Townville, snowing solid but only about an 1" on the ground. The temp was just to warm early on and its been melting out from underneath.

Sadly we have seen sleet mix in with the snow here recently :( that might put a damper on the snow accumulations at around 2.5" currently............. I hope it transitions back over to snow but I am not holding my breath on that one.

Hope it stays all snow up for you in P-town David

I wish more would stay so the kids could see/play in it. But at least I got a 2hr delay out of it tomm!!

well it is 1am and still sleeting here I am headed to bed....... looks like the snow is done, just sleet and freezing rain from here on out. I hope Clemson comes around and atleast delays class; as of now there are no delays listed

Crap, and I'm down here in sunny Florida.

Had my share at Christmas in Canada, though. 36"+ on the ground when we arrived and another 6" while we were there.

Y'all have fun and be careful.

well the good news is now they are calling for another round of snow in the upstate late friday night into Sat...............

Awesome! I am starting to get a twitch for a road trip.

JP, it was snowy day in January several years ago that I met you and other members of the Mafia. I hope you are out driving your 40 around with no top or windshield as you did on that day. I am envious. Have fun!

Awesome! I am starting to get a twitch for a road trip.

Jim,

I wouldn't mind pulling a 3 day blitz - need to pick up my D60 from Alan, pay him the 50 I owe him, and methinks there's a few other errands up there. What say we go up on Sushi weekend next month? It's the weekend before the next Alpha/Bravo run - but heck, that's my problem - your sorry arse isn't gonna make that one :flipoff2:!

Mmmmmmmmm, sushi and Nest Owl.

Bill.

I've got Coast Guard classes the week of Feb. 4-8 down in Ft. Lauderdale, so I couldn't leave until Friday afternoon. I am always game, but we would be worthless saturday night at Andy's after driving all night. However, if we could stay through tuesday, leaving early tuesday to drive back home, I can be convinced.

say it ain't so

Forecast is for another round of snow Saturday.
Still have some left over from Weds on the deck
and non-sunny places in the yards/woods.
Early call is for better accumulations this go round.
Final tally was just under 4 inches in the yard Weds.
We didn't lose power but the dang stuff covered the
satellite dish so we lost TV signal until I used an
extended pole saw to knock the snow off. :hillbilly:

Anderson this morning. Some point thorugh the night it stoped snowing and started rain/sleeting which knocked the snow down some.

34 degrees and the snow has started. 10:55 a.m.
Table Rock is slowly disappearing in the clouds.
Forecast is for snow to continue throughout the day and
into this evening.
Roaring fire in the fireplace and plenty of grub/booze on hand.
