For those that have not heard already. We have committed to buy out the entire SMORR park for our fall crawl this year!!

We need your help to reach out to your friends in a 10 hour commute to Springfield, Mo.

What I want out of each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every: gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, hen house, outhouse, and doghouse, in that area!

is this event limited to toyota's?

is this event limited to toyota's?

Short answer is no, it is not limited to Toyotas.

This is an event that is Sanctioned by the Toyota Land Cruiser Association, and is being held as an open event, meaning that it is just that, open to any vehicles. All vehicles are subject to a safety technical inspection based on the TLCA requirements, to make the event as safe as possible. The technical inspection requirements can be found here.

The club website will be updated soon with more detailed information on the event, as well as the ability to register online.

For those that were not at our annual meeting, I wanted to share some questions we have heard and offer some reasons why the fee has gone from $55 last year to $105 this year.

First thing to know is that after a few way too roudy J**P folks, including a 6:00 horn and throttle fest that woke up most of us and our children, lots of busy trails, and folks that tried to crash our dinner, we decided to rent out the entire park for this event. This should decrease the time waiting for trails, and less congestions in the park/campground.

Last year, you paid us $55 for the entry fee and then paid $45 at the door for a two day wheeling pass, plus $10 per rider. So last year if you went down with your friend, you were out $110; therefore, you are actually are saving $5. If you bring three friends you are saving $35.

Camping fees have never been included in our fees, so that is no differnce.

Fee includes a drivers raffle ticket. Previous years have been big gift certificates to vendors such as Marlin. This year we have an ARB fridge in the works, ipod possibly, and some other great items.

This year we are going to award trophies, including best carnage!! So get down there and destroy something!

Thanks for the contribution!!!

Somebody get that man a beer!

How many rigs are registered? I sent my registration in via snail mail.

I've secured a really cool raffle prize! and a few to donate myself..

I signed up, how could I not after the big win last year. Barring any major problems (like the end of the world) I will be there and we are bringing our daughter this year after seeing how family oriented the event was last year. I have posted the event on the www.mo4wd.com site and hope to get 15 or so from that group to make the trip down. I have been talking up the event after our great experience last year.

Look forward to seeing everyone again.

Ben

If one has an FJ40 or FJ45 this will allow one to remove their doors in a very quick fashion..
ALso donating a portable weather radio
I need to sign up myself.. I will do my best to see if I can recruit some of the old school guys like Trainrech and Chef to attend.

Dave Killion of Kansas Rocks Rec Park received the TAC SMORR flyers I sent. I plan to swing out there, at some point to say “Thanks for your support” and do some wheeling. Time is my biggest issue right now.

Thanks! If anyone else has an idea of where to post up a flyer, please do so!

We are excited to have the park reserved for us and have a family friendly great weekend of wheeling!

plus the swag never hurts. I really want the ARB Fridge!
