Hello all! I have posted my question a day earlier on the basic forum but someone suggested to post on the diesel section. Bare with me as I'll try and write all the details. I'm from Pakistan and here mechanical labour is really cheap.
I have a 80 series originally a 1hdt but now a 1hdft. Since I switched my vehicle to a 24valve it drove perfectly. A few months later I got black smoke cause of which I gave it to a diesel pump repair shop and they screwed my pump to make it powerless at low rpm. I then gave it to another shop and they ruined it more. Cutting short I gave it to 4/5 shops and the final guy made the pump powerful again but what happened then is that it gave whitish blueish smoke once I stopped anywhere and on AC. I was told it might be rings or valves. I got my engine completely checked. The turbo has a very little oil ( my mechanic says it's completely OK ) rings were installed though old ones were OK too. I got a used pump ( old nozzles ) had it installed. Car runs just OK and the same problem is there.
Car doesn't give any black smoke while driving but on idle and in gear starts to give whitish smoke and more smoke if AC is on. No smoke at all ( at least I can't see any ) at parked with no AC. Now I have absolutely no idea if my last pump was completely OK finally and I changed it for no use cause it's the same problem. That white smoke. Any one has any idea what it can be. I can get anything checked but someone please help what it can be. Can it be that I didn't get my nozzles timed with this pump? Can it be I should advance my pump timing? Can it be a faulty transmission? I did notice a slip in gear when I accelerated but once I left the pedal and pressed again all went OK. Otherwise transmission runs fine ( I guess ) any help would be highly appreciated!!

No expert but did you read through the smoke/ emissions section at the top of diesel facts?

You are using old injector nozzles? If so, change to fresh re - calibrated ones to start with..

sounds like you have a few inept mechanics your way. Yikes! Maybe hard to find a good one in Pakistan.

I know that there is an original old school toyota Japan trained mechanic in the Himalayas, but no idea how far from you. Someone did some youtubbys on him 'himalaya workshop' landcruiser or something, has his phone number..he at least would do a good job for you. A little primitive to western standards tho.

Is there a toyota dealer in Pakistan? Many often learn how to do themselves by not trusting mechanics.

hope the floods have not affected you, devastating..the landcruiser himalayan workshop specialist is in Bhutan, so not handy to you, I guess.

Yeah now the guys say it's the old injectors. And Himalayas is the opposite border of Pakistan and really hard to go ( road conditions ) I'll check if I find a YouTube video of him. And will get through him if it doesn't solve after the injectors. And I have already been through official Toyota here. Those people aren't good here either. We have better ones outside but no good pump mechanics( not even Toyota )

Yeah the flood didn't affect this part of the city ( not much in my city anyways. Yeah Bhutan isn't for me

So wanted to tell everyone I'm now driving a smoke free 1hdft. So the problem was the turbo seal towards the exhaust which had a leak and we opened the turbo and used to see towards the upper part which had no oil. The guys fixing my exhaust pipe ( from rust ) they saw and said your turbo is leaking down there. And after a turbo kit installed today I'm finally enjoying a smooth 80 and no smoke. Thanks everyone
