Pulled my transmission pan off my turbo 400 transmission and found small amounts of sludge at the bottom. The transmission was rebuilt 1000 miles ago.

Should I read anything into this or is this common?
Here’s a pic:

Btw, pulled the pan to drill and tap a hole for a temp probe. The original location would hit the exhaust. I can’t imagine there are any secrets about drilling this other than don’t hit any internal parts?

I’m thinking of drilling at the back, here

Maybe some type of assembly lube? Is there glitter in the pan? I would imagine a fluid change to be necessary with in the first few hundred miles.

I would think that's normal wear/seat in bands/clutches material dark stuff - wouldn't expect much glitter. I'm not a slop bucket guy but I like watching Richard on youtube ripping them apart Precision Transmission
